Samantha Bederman, CIYT
In the last 20 years, I have been a student and teacher of the Iyengar yoga methodology. I am a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher and currently teach in both the corporate and private sectors. I also hold accreditation with the Canadian Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher. I have taken over 700 hours of training in the Iyengar and Ashtanga systems.
Who Do I Work With?
I work with a wide demographic of people in the Greater Toronto area: some are challenged with arthritis, anxiety, brain trauma, degenerative disc disease, depression, fibromyalgia, hypermobility, repetitive strain, and scoliosis — to list a common-few. I teach athletes, beginners, those working with injury-recovery and/or chronic issues, aging and mature students, singers, dancers, and those going through hormonal changes and transitioning through stages of life.
What Can You Gain?
Together we will connect you to your subtle body and find your optimal alignment. You will learn classical yoga poses and how to link them and weave them together. You will experience a deeper awareness of your breath which will support you in ways that go beyond our basic needs. By learning to turn your mind’s eye inward, you will unite the body and brain, bringing freedom from symptomatic pain. Customized sequences are designed and adaptable for each individual’s needs and limitations.
